RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
PHASES
RESOURCE
This website has been designed in order to create an educational resource through which the proposal developed above can be used. It has been inspired by the work of the artists mentioned above, using JeongMee Yoon's artwork as an observation and analysis of stereotypes.

This didactic resource works as a tool to reduce color-based gender stereotypes, specifically we want to address the idea that pink is considered a girl's color and blue a boy's color.

In the first two phases, OBSERVATION and ANALYSIS, we use JeongMee Yoon's artwork. In the first place we observe the photograph Jiseon and Her Pink Things (2008) and then we analyse its contrast with the photograph Jake and His Blue Things (2006) by the same artist.

Afterwards, in the CHANGE phase we analyse how these gender stereotypes appear in the images that girls and boys unconsciously consume in society. For this purpose, we use a catalogue of toys, which is attached to the website. As a method of changing these stereotypes, we consider the creation of a new toy catalogue through the drawings of the children. They will design their own page of the catalogue without using the colours pink or blue.

Lastly, in order to SHARE this artwork created by girls and boys, an image gallery has been designed in the subsection corresponding to this phase. Likewise, we have created an Instagram account aiming to increase visibility and share the artwork.
